Alhaurín de la Torre Pre-Wedding Photo Session: Lin Lin & José

We photographed Lin Lin and José's pre-wedding session at the Jardín Oriental Bienquerido, in Alhaurín de la Torre.

Lin Lin and José chose a Japanese garden for their pre-wedding session. The Jardín Oriental Bienquerido in Alhaurín de la Torre opened in 2011 beside the Bienquerido stream, and it feels a long way from the Costa del Sol beaches.

She wore a red qipao with a flower in her hair; he wore a black jacket with frog buttons and a red boutonnière. Against the green of the garden, that red does most of the work.

We moved between the red arched bridges, the pagodas with their green-tiled roofs and the stone lanterns among clipped shrubs, looking for shade under the trees when the sun was high.

They also brought a red double happiness paper-cut. Held up between them on the bridge, it became one of our favourite photos of the day. If something means a lot to you, bring it along: it always finds its place in the pictures.
