Daria & Adrian – Mountain Finca Wedding on the Costa del Sol

Daria got ready in a bright room with a spiral staircase and a ring light, in a silk slip with pearl pins in her hair, her friends close by. Adrian wore a navy suit and waistcoat; inside his jacket, a rabbit and their initials were embroidered into the lining.

They saw each other before the ceremony, indoors, beside a red sofa. Adrian opened the door, Daria touched his face, and her bouquet of pink and orange flowers ended up over his shoulder.

The ceremony was on a lawn at the edge of the hill, with white chairs, a draped floral arch and the whole valley behind it. Guests shaded themselves with paper parasols as Daria walked in between the cypresses.

A friend gave a reading, they both laughed through their vows into a handheld microphone, and they walked back up the aisle through a cloud of soap bubbles. Then the whole family gathered on the grass for one photo from above.

At sunset we drove up a mountain road among the pines, where the wind lifted Daria's veil. The night began with a cake cut with a sword under a vine pergola and ended in heart-shaped sunglasses, with everyone on the dance floor.
