Old town · Vejer de la Frontera
A few months before their wedding, Raquel and Manu met us in Vejer de la Frontera, the white hill town above the Cádiz coast, for an evening with no schedule at all.
We started in the shade of the old stone arches and the lanes under the town walls, where the light falls in narrow strips between the houses. They walked, laughed and forgot about the camera after ten minutes.
From there we climbed to the castle battlements, with the rooftops of the town at their feet, and crossed the Plaza de España, with its tiled fountain and its ceramic frogs.
We finished at a viewpoint above the countryside, with a windmill on the horizon, dancing on a chequered floor while the sun went down behind them.
A pre-wedding session is the best rehearsal for the big day. When we met again at their wedding in November 2024, at Finca Espanta Rodrigo in Jerez, they already knew how we work.
White lanes, stone arches and an evening with no schedule.
The sun going down over the countryside of Cádiz.
