Real Club de Golf Sotogrande Wedding Photography: Lucía & Javier

We photographed Lucía and Javier's wedding at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.

Lucía and Javier’s day started at home in Sotogrande, with the dress hanging by the staircase, blue velvet sandals on the rug and the family dog getting in the way of everything.

Javier got ready a few streets away with his brother and his friends, then they all set off on foot down an avenue of palm trees. Lucía left from the garden on her father’s arm, her bouquet of wild flowers in hand.

They married at Nuestra Señora de la Merced, Sotogrande’s pink-fronted church, with olive trees lining the aisle. The doors opened onto a tunnel of guests filming on their phones, and the two of them came out running.

The reception was at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. Before dinner we took them onto the course for twenty minutes, just as the palm trees turned into silhouettes against the sky.

The party went on under a tent of fairy lights, with red neckerchiefs embroidered with their names and the date, the bride and groom thrown into the air and a packed dance floor.
