One cortijo, two names

Finca Espanta Rodrigo and Cortijo de Terry are the same place, and the estate uses both names on its Instagram. It is a cortijo in the countryside between Jerez de la Frontera and El Puerto de Santa María.

Weddings take place in its courtyards, such as the vine courtyard and an albero courtyard paved with golden sand, and among the palm trees. There are no rooms on site, so guests stay in Jerez or El Puerto.

What we photographed and filmed here

In November 2024 we photographed and filmed Raquel and Manu’s wedding. The ceremony was in the whitewashed courtyard, with wooden chairs, pampas grass and dried flowers, and they walked out through the arch in a cloud of paper petals.

Straight after, everyone danced in the sun under the palm trees. Late in the afternoon we took them out to the fields around the cortijo, with rolling hills behind and the light turning gold. Dinner and the party were in the hall, under a beamed ceiling.

Before the wedding we had photographed them in Vejer de la Frontera, in their pre-wedding session.
